BEAR loves bear

We’ve been going about 9 months now, and have seen bears all over the place. Giles saw one in Stamford, another at Twin Lakes in Melton Mobray, his sister Pip spotted one in Verbier in France, and Gavin saw one on the subway Berlin. If you see a bear, give it a hug (unless it’s a real live one, in which case do this) and if you see our BEAR (here) give it a really big hug and you may get some nibbles…

Hello all. Just to say your products which I buy in Waitrose at any given chance are FAB! I spend a lot of time on the road (but would rather be on my bike!) and trying to find something healthy to eat is a nightmare. I love the branding and the product. If ever you wanted someone new on the team I would love to join and help grow such a fantastic company. If not then all the very best of luck! Have a great day.

I’ve just eaten some of your cocoa cherry pie baked granola nibbles. Very tasty and healthy!
I like the marketing as well with the bear theme. I was just wondering if your company is doing anything to help bears?
As I’m sure you are aware bears face persecution including baiting and some are endangered or will likely be in the future due to climate change and the pressures of mankind. It would be good if you donated a small percentage of your sales to some of these causes. I personally think that a brand that uses an animal in its advertising should donate to charities related to the species concerned. I would be interested to hear of any plans regarding this?

    Hi James,

We’re in touch with various charities and are hoping to get more involved as we grow. As a self funded start up (almost 1 yr old ) we have a lot to do and little budget + a very small team of people who can’t remeber what a weekend is!

We will do more when we are a little further on in our journey. Chicken and egg. We’ll be able to do more if we focus now and grow. At that stage we will have identified the right partners for us to work with which is important.

Bear was also chosen as a name due to the double meaning of ‘naked’ describing the ingredients, not the animal. But yes bears are now close to our heart and in our plans for the future.
